Hire times

Our beach huts are available from 9am to 6.30pm, 5pm in October. If you are booking for two consecutive days you can arrive from 9am and stay until 10pm, then the following day you can arrive from 7am to 6.30pm, 5pm in October. If you are booking more than three consecutive days, the first day is 9am to 10pm, followed by 7am to 10pm and the last day is 7am to 6.30pm (5pm in October).

How do we access the beach hut?

Access to the beach hut is via a key safe, located on the side of the hut. The code will be emailed to you at least 48 hours before your booked date/s - please check your junk folder.

After opening the key safe, kindly close the shutter and scramble the numbers. Please place the padlocks inside the beach hut as soon as you have opened up.  We recommend placing the keys in the key safe at all times to ensure they are not lost. On leaving, the hut must be securely locked, bolted and the keys replaced in the key safe, the shutter to the safe closed and the numbers scrambled.

Public Toilets

The nearest toilets are open from 18th April until 30th October. They are a 5/6 minute walk from the huts. Please note, that the walk from the beach huts to the public toilets is very hilly. From the huts you walk back up the slope to the top promenade, you walk towards the black building which is the Clacton Sailing Club. To the right you will see the white building this is the toilets. There are some steep steps to walk down, or you can use the path which is just past the Clacton Sailing Club.

How many people can use our beach huts?

A maximum of 8 guests inside and directly outside each beach hut, due to the Tendring District Council commercial rules. If you exceed this number, please use the beach where you’re very welcome to put table and chairs. We kindly ask that you don’t have any wild parties or large gatherings outside the hut or on the beach directly opposite my huts! You must keep to the boundaries of the beach hut when the neighbouring huts are in use, in order not to encroach on our neighbours space, thank you

Can I bring my dog?

Two well-behaved dogs are allowed per booking. Please keep your dogs under control at all times and, in particular, please minimise noise. Please keep the dogs off the furniture and they must not be left alone in the hut. The beaches opposite the beach huts are dog friendly. Restrictions exist on certain sections of the beach, particularly around The Beach Haven Cafe.
